The Other Magazine

The Other Magazine is a bold counterculture lifestyle publication exploring cannabis, psychedelics, wellness, music, art, tourism, and more. Launched in 2024, the magazine serves readers throughout New York City, The Hudson Valley, and Long Island, with quarterly issues distributed free to over 425 dispensaries and select locations across the region.

The name honors iconic social activists like Terence McKenna, Timothy Leary, and Abbie Hoffman—visionaries often called "The Others" for their boundary-pushing ideas and willingness to question everything. As Leary famously encouraged: "Do the Unexpected, Find the Others!" This ethos guides The Other Magazine’s mission to educate, connect, and inspire today's forward-thinking cannabis community.

From small craft growers to major processors, enthusiast consumers to legacy growers and distributors going legit – these pages are a meeting place to exchange ideas, showcase products, and share knowledge. 

I started working with The Other Magazine in the fall of 2024, just after they published their first issue. I revamped the branding and took over the design of the entire magazine. I’ve created two of the covers myself and I’m working on a third—I’m currently designing the summer 2026 issue, my seventh issue with them.

Other tasks include designing social media content, flyer design, event branding, art and photo selection, organization of contributing artists, writing articles, photography, and more.
